It’s hard to find the words to express how happy I am with Shirls Photography so I’ll start from the beginning.

I received a message at 7am that my original photographer had cancelled on me. As you can imagine that is not the stress a bride needs the morning of her wedding but an hour later Shirl was up, ready and on her way to save the day! Shirl was so warm and welcoming which was the opposite to me at that moment when the nerves were kicking in but still Shirl kept reassuring me that everything was fine and all taken care of and really fit right in!

Now I’m not photogenic at all and I don’t like having my photo taken due to being self conscious but with words of affirmation and support from Shirl I stopped stressing about the way I looked and just had fun with it and I’m so glad I did.

Now to today when I received my photos (only 1 week later may I add) I am absolutely over the moon!! From capturing the perfect moments, every detail of the day and getting great photos of all of our guests it was like experiencing the day all over again and seeing the moments I missed.

Shirl, thank you so much for not only the beautiful photos but for putting up with my moods and self doubt! You handled it all so well and we are so grateful things turned out the way it did! You’re a star!

Where do I start…..we were looking for a photography before our wedding event and obviously like any couple we had a budget. We really struggled finding a photographer that didn’t cost thousands which majority are.

My partner (now my husband) found Shirl on Facebook and Shirl’s photos were absolutely lovely and what we were looking for. I remember meeting Shirl the first time in Costa coffee, it was really relaxed and when we got talking to Shirl, we really got to know her, she was really honest in what she does etc and in that moment we definitely wanted her to do the photography on our wedding day.

As a bride on the day I was slightly nervous as I wanted to be sure the photos were going look great and I am not a photogenic person (Shirl proved me wrong here and said I was lol) Shirl is a very relaxed photographer, she knows exactly where the photos should be taken and she is the most loveliest person when she gives direction to me how I should pose etc. To put it simply, she was so positive and encouraging towards us throughout the day (and we had a lot of giggles).

Now we have just seen the photos which is all saved on a USB stick so easy to download and saved on the computer (this is great especially when you want to send them to friends and family on email and save postage) the photos were unbelievable amazing, Shirl really exceeded our expectations and now we are in a position we can’t decide which is our favourite, we loved all the photos. A few of the photos were black/white and normal but they all look so lovely in its own way. Shirl’s prices are very reasonable and fair and worth every penny an all under £600 which we think that’s such an amazing price for all day compare to other photographers.

Shirl you have been absolutely amazing and we 110% recommend Shirl for any event. Get her quick before she puts her prices up again!! Xx

Shirl is a lovely lady. Even one of my wedding guests commented on how lovely she was and wished that her own wedding photographer had been as good.

Shirl was very good at putting us at ease with her fun and relaxed style. We enjoyed having our pictures taken even though we usually feel a bit awkward in front of the camera.

We can't wait to see the rest of the photos, but for now we are very happy.
